Privacy Policy
SERV (“we”, “our”, “us”) is Pakistan’s padel community platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the SERV mobile app and website.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information: Display name, email address (if you sign in with Google or Apple, or create an email account).
- Profile data: City, profile visibility preference, your padel skill level, and invite code.
- Match data: Match scores, team compositions, match results, and your rating history.
- Booking requests: Court bookings you initiate via WhatsApp (booking metadata only — we do not process payments).
- Location data: Approximate location, used to show padel clubs near you. Location is requested only when you use club discovery features.
- Device tokens: Push notification tokens, used to send match confirmations and rating updates.
- App interactions: General usage analytics to improve the app (e.g. features used, screens visited).
2. How We Use Your Information
- Provide and personalise the SERV app experience.
- Calculate and display your padel rating.
- Connect you with other players and clubs.
- Send push notifications for match confirmations and rating updates (you can opt out in device settings).
- Improve app features based on usage patterns.
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate SERV:
- Supabase — Database and authentication infrastructure. Your data is stored securely on Supabase servers. See Supabase Privacy Policy.
- Google Sign-In — Optional sign-in method. We receive your name and email from Google. See Google Privacy Policy.
- Apple Sign-In — Optional sign-in method on iOS. We receive your name and email (or Apple-relayed email) from Apple. See Apple Privacy Policy.
- Expo / EAS — App build and push notification delivery infrastructure.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only as follows:
- With other SERV players — your display name and rating level are visible to other players when you join a match or appear in search results (if your visibility is set to “On”).
- With clubs — when you initiate a WhatsApp booking, your name is shared with the club via the WhatsApp message you send.
- With service providers listed above, as necessary to operate the app.
5. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or request deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your account and associated data.
- Opt out of push notifications via your device settings.
- Control profile visibility within the app (Settings → Visible to Others).
7. Children’s Privacy
SERV is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us immediately.
8. Security
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Authentication tokens are stored securely using platform-native secure storage. We do not store passwords in plaintext.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the app or by updating the “Last updated” date above.
